Jack Daniel

This statue of Jack Daniel stands in front of Morgan's Seafood on Georgia Avenue in Washington, DC.
"Jasper Newton 'Jack' Daniel (c. January 1849 – October 10, 1911) was an American distiller and businessman, best known as the founder of the Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey distillery." -- Wikipedia

The myth that Jack Daniel caused his death by kicking his safe, leading to a broken toe and eventual blood poisoning, has been debunked; but a picture of the putative safe can be found on Wikipedia.
